Board of Directors
The Wuyagiba Bush Hub Aboriginal Corporation (WBHAC) was established in 2018 following the successful Trial of the Bush Uni. The WBHAC is a local Aboriginal owned and run corporation registered with ORIC. Since 2018, the WBHAC Board has involved the high level local expertise of four dedicated board members who have cultural authority to speak for and manage Wuyagiba Homeland.
Bobby Nunggumajbarr - Secretary
Bobby is a well respected leader of Ngukurr community and is a Senior Jungayi of Wuyagiba Homeland. Bobby is the Secretary and contact person for Wuyagiba Bush Hub Aboriginal Corporation, He also hold a leadership position with the local Yugul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation, sits on many local and regional boards and was previously the Ngukurr representative for the Northern Land Council.
Robin Rogers - Chairman
Robin is a Senior Minggirringgi (Traditional Owner) of Wuyagiba Homeland. He was asked by his older brother Dr K Rogers to lead Wuyagiba Study Hub following his passing in June 2024. Dr K Rogers was co-founder of the Wuyagiba Study Hub. Robin was a long term employee of Ngukurr School as Teacher, Attendance Champion and Learning on Country Coordinator. He now also teaches Cultural Knowledge at Wuyagiba where he lives with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Karen Rogers - Treasurer
Karen is a well known artist, author and Director of Ngukurr Art Centre. She has won several Artist in Residence fellowships, including with Artback NT and the Canberra Glassworks. In 2017 she won the NT Department of Trade, Business and Innovation VET Award. She has qualifications in Business Management, book-keeping and Certificates 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Visual Arts from Batchelor Institute. She is a Jungayi of Wuyagiba Homeland and inspires many of the Wuyagiba staff and students.
Walter Rogers - Director
Walter is a Senior Minggirringgi (Traditional Owner) of Wuyagiba Homeland. He is a well known artist, carver, leader and cultural lore man. He is a long serving member of the Arnhem, Northern and Kimberley Artists (ANKA) and Northern Land Council (NLC) Boards.
